Susan Piguet SAME Post Liason
In order to focus on the sustainability and energy aspects of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Mid-Maryland Post‘s mission, Susan Piguet has now assumed the newly created role of Energy & Sustainability Director, through which she will be the Post liaison for the SAME’s National Energy & Sustainability Committee.
UDC Student Center LEED-NC Platinum
The University of the District of Columbia’s new Student Center has now attained LEED-NC Platinum-level certification! The new 96,000 sf building houses numerous amenities for UDC’s 5,000+ students. SDC provided LEED Advisory Services to Forrester Construction and its joint venture partner, Parkinson Construction. Read about it here.
600 Mass Ave LEED-CS Platinum Certified
600 Massachusetts Avenue in Washington, DC is now LEED-CS Platinum-level certified! This 400,000 sf speculative office building, designed by CORE, features a daylit atrium and rooftop garden. SDC had provided LEED process management services for this project since 2008.
HDR’s Regional Office LEED Platinum-certified
HDR's Regional Office in Arlington, VA recently achieved LEED-CI Platinum-level certification, and SDC was pleased to help! Sandra Leibowitz Serves on AIA WLS Collaborators’ Committee

Sara Zoumbaris now serves as the local Co-chair for USGBC Greater Virginia Chapter’s (USGBC-GV) Market Leadership Advisory Board! Now part of USGBC National, USGBC-GV has three "branches" in Richmond, Roanoke and Charlottesville, Virginia. Its mission is to advocate and educate for sustainable buildings and communities.

Edificio Celebra Achieves LEED-CS Gold
SDC's first international project, Edificio Celebra in Montevideo, Uruguay is LEED-CS v2009 Gold-level certified! With daylight-harvesting design, a photovoltaic array and innovative on-site water treatment and reuse, this flagship new addition crowns the green building and campus strategies at the Zonamerica Business and Technology Park.
Dunbar High School Achieves LEED Platinum
We're thrilled that Dunbar Senior High School in Washington, DC has recently attained LEED for Schools v2009 Platinum certification -- with no less than 91 points earned (a world record)! Congratulations to DCPS, Perkins Eastman, Moody Nolan Architects and the rest of the team for this exceptional accomplishment!
